Ben Lim founded Axelon with several like-minded investors to partner with owners and management teams building exceptional Canadian companies.

Before founding Axelon, Ben was a Principal on the Direct Private Equity program at British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), one of Canada’s largest institutional investors with over US$200B in AUM, and led the execution of Industrials and Business Services transactions.

​

Ben began his career in Bain & Company's Toronto office, where he advised leadership teams on strategy and performance, particularly in the Industrials sector. Ben then joined the strategy team at Canada Goose, where he rolled up his sleeves and worked closely with the executive team to drive key value creation priorities.

​

He graduated from the University of British Columbia with an Honours degree in Economics.

 

Outside of work, Ben loves scuba diving, sailing and playing badminton.
